St John's

Welcome to St John's Church. We see hospitality as key to our mission and would love to welcome you to join us for worship and our community events. If you are visiting for the first time, please introduce yourself to the person at the door and let us know if you have a particular need or if there is anything we can do to help you feel comfortable with us. We celebrated our Bicentennial last year, marking 200 years of worship and community at St John's.

Safeguarding

"The parish of Workington: St John is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Carlisle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
