About Us

Beautiful historic church, where Fletcher Christian, leader of the Mutiny on the Bounty, was baptised. Designated as a Grade 1 listed building by English Heritage, the original  church dates from the late 11th Century. Extensive restoration works were carried out by William Butterfield between 1864 and 1876. Most recently the Butterfield decorated ceiling to the Nave and Lady Chapel were restored to their glorious original condition in 2014.
