Newlands Church
Welcome to our church.
We meet in three locations around the parish.
St. Herbert's Braithwaite, St. Mary's, Thornthwaite and Newlands Church are, together, often known as 'TBN' (Thornthwaite, Braithwaite and Newlands). The church usually meets every 2nd & 3rd Sunday at 10:00 am and every 1st & 4th Sunday at 9:00. There is no service on the fifth Sunday of the month. Changes to this pattern are advertised locally.
Regular services are held at St Herbert's Church Braithwaite or St Mary's Church Thornthwaite. Newlands hosts services four times a year, with dates advertised locally.

Safeguarding
Our parish of Thornthwaite cum Braithwaite with Newlands is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Carlisle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Mrs Mary Wardle 017687 78817 [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Joanna van Lachterop, on 07458 016884 [email protected] . If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
