Every six years, across the whole country, Church Electoral Rolls have to be deleted, and completely new Church Electoral Rolls have to be prepared. This year marks the commencement of the next new Church Electoral Roll, which comes into effect, for Dean, on the date of the Annual Parochial Church Meeting on 12 May 2025, which is to be held at 7pm in the KCC at Dean.

Inclusion on the Church Electoral Roll signifies membership of the church, is what makes anyone legally a member of St Oswald’s, which means that they belong to St Oswald’s Church and St Oswald’s belongs to them. It also entitles those on the electoral roll to vote in, and stand for, church elections held during the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, to which everybody is welcome to attend, for the Parochial Church Council (PCC), which makes decisions about the running of St Oswald’s.

All residents of the parish, who are over 16, a member of the Church of England, or of a Church in communion with it, and have been baptised, are cordially invited to fill in one of the application forms for enrolment on the Electoral Roll, which has been enclosed with this magazine, and submit it by one of the options mentioned below by 30 March 2025.
