About Us
FACILITIES FOR people with mobility problems, those with pushchairs and those with hearing and sight impairments
The churchyard is level, and there is access for wheelchairs and prams/pushchairs throughout. In the Chapel if you wish for Communion to be given to you where you are sitting that is fine just let the person know who is giving out the hymn books at the back.
Unfortunately there is currently no chair/pushchair access to the raised area (either from the churchyard or the chapel) which is the ruins of the former Church, where the mines mosaic is.
To access the building there is a ramp at the front (Lowther Street entrance). There is no dedicated parking for the Church. We recommend that Blue Badge holders park on Queen Street or Lowther Street and access the site through the Lowther Street entrance which has the widest gates.
There is a hearing loop installed in the Chapel, and large print service books are available on request.
There are toilet facilities, but due to space limitations in this historical building
