If you visit St John's in August/September you might wonder where the altar rail has gone! The metal railings were in urgent need of repair and will be sand-blasted and then put back. Until then we are hoping to reinstate the wooden rail temporarily. It won't look beautiful for a little while, but will look much better and be safer in the long run.
