St Oswald's is in the centre of the beautiful lakeland village of Grasmere.
Rail: Trains to Windermere with regular buses from outside the station, plus a busy taxi rank.
Change at Oxenholme Lake District on the west coast main line and take the branch line to Windermere. From Windermere, 555 and 599 buses run regularly or it's a 30 minute taxi ride.
Bus: Grasmere is well served by buses.
Stagecoach route 555 passes through the village northbound from Lancaster, Kendal, Windermere and Ambleside, and southbound from Keswick. The 599 bus shuttles between Bowness and Grasmere via Windermere and Ambleside. Buses at least hourly during the day, more often in the summer.

Road: Grasmere lies just off the main A591 through central Lakeland.
From the north, leave the M6 at junction 40 Penrith and travel via the A66 and A591 through Keswick. From the south, leave the M6 at junction 36 Kendal and travel via the A590/A591 through Windermere and Ambleside.
