On Sunday night (17th Dec), a large congregation and choir enjoyed a traditional carol service of eight readings, carols and anthems. The carol service began with Once in Royal David’s City, sung by candlelight, before the lights were turned on to enable everyone to join in with a hearty sing of traditional Christmas carols.
The service was followed by a retiring collection for Manna House in Kendal and the congregation enjoyed mulled wine, mince pies and a good chat. Thanks to everyone who made it such a special event to begin our Christmas celebration.
