Join us as we mark Holy Week:
We have a short service beginning at 6.15pm Monday 2 April to Wednesday 5 April;
Maundy Thursday, 6 April, Eucharist is an hour-long service beginning at 6.15pm. Bishop Peter will wash the feet of some there, (please volunteer, names to Irene, we need about 12).
The Altar will be stripped, again please help, followed by the opportunity to remain in Church for The Watch for up to a further hour. We need Readers for each of these services, please see Irene.
Good Friday April 7: The Service commences at 10.00am & ends about 10.45am, after which we meet other members of our Mission Community in the Town Hall Square for a short Witness at 11.15am. if you are only coming to one service that day, the day Jesus died on the Cross, please come to the afternoon one, see below: -
Good Friday Vigil, 2.00 to 3.00pm which will include a dramatic reading & ending when Jesus died. Please come. Stay for all or part of this very special time in the Christian year.
Church will then be closed until Easter Saturday.
Easter Saturday, April 8: come, prepare & decorate the Church ready for celebrating Jesus’ Resurrection on Easter Day (many hands make light work!).
Easter Day Service, April 9 will begin at 10.30am, followed by refreshments in the Vestry as always. If we’re lucky the Easter Bunny might provide an Easter Egg or two!
