St Aidan’s, Carlisle

St Aidan’s is a beautiful church at the heart of the Warwick Road community. We are a welcoming, accepting congregation who enjoy a traditional style of worship. We follow a printed order of service and sing hymns from a hymn book to organ accompaniment. We value Scripture and the Sacraments expressed through beautiful music, words and surroundings, with candles, vestments and sometimes incense. Come and find out if this suits your own spirituality and journey with us as we try to live out the Gospel message and learn how to love God and our neighbour.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Carlisle: St Aidan is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Carlisle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Mr David Hill on 07718729865 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Joanna Van Lachterop on 07458 016884. Email: [email protected]
Joanna works full-time for the diocese. If she is unavailable and you believe a child may be at immediate risk, you must contact Cumbria Children's Services using the 24 hour number (0333 240 1727) or the police.
