Harvest Festival was celebrated in the parish churches of Brampton, Crosby-on-Eden, and Irthington last Sunday. Social distancing rules limited the numbers of people able to attend. But, in total, just over 100 people came along to the three services.
Our local farmers, and all those involved in the food supply chain, were thanked during the services. The harvest produce from all three churches went to the Brampton Area Action Group (SHINE) Project which has established an Affordable Food Hub based in Brampton Community Centre.
All three churches (and others) are pleased to be able to support this initiative. We all have much to be thankful for, even in these challenging times.
Thank you to all who helped decorate the churches and to all those who brought harvest produce to the services.
