Welcome to St Mary's Upchurch with Uplift! We are the local church congregations in the village of Upchurch, part of The Six benefice, a group of six rural parishes situated between the urban centres of Rainham and Sittingbourne. The beautiful ancient church building lies in the heart of the village, and we endeavour to keep it open during the week between daylight hours.
We hope that you will find a home here in one of our two congregations, which offer different styles of either traditional choir-led worship or contemporary family-friendly worship. Services in the church building currently take place on the first, second and fourth Sundays; Uplift normally meets on the first and third Sundays in the Upchurch Village Hall.
We want to see the building used to serve events in the wider community, as it is currently, for example for occasional concerts led by the Upchurch Choral Society. As the people we want to bless our village community, serving where possible in partnership with others in the village community.
Please do leave a message here, in case you wish for any further information.
