Maundy or Holy Thursday - Eucharist of the Last Supper

Occurring
for 1 hour, 15 mins
Venue
St Mary
Address
Church Road Kenardington, TN262NQ, United Kingdom

A service of Holy Communion commemorating the Last Supper of Jesus Christ when Jesus washed the disciples' feet as an act of humility. During the service there will be a recreation of this act of service. Foot washing is a reminder of how Jesus served others and of the kind of service Christians are meant to demonstrate to others.

Church of the Good Shepherd

The Church of the Good Shepherd is situated in the heart of the village of Hamstreet. Originally built as a Methodist Chapel, for 50 years it is part of a Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP) between the Methodist Church and the Church of England. The community does not see itself as either Anglican or Methodist, seeking to be witness to a unified Christian mission and identity in worship and outreach to the wider community. We are a welcoming community, open to young and old alike, and would love to see you come along and join us at one of our weekly Sunday services. Our services alternate between Methodist and Anglican patterns of worship, held each Sunday @ 10.30am.
