St Matthew's Church is participating in the Churches Count on Nature 2021 part of the Caring for God's Acre Love Your Burial Ground Week 5-13 June. The project will see communities and visitors making a note of the animals, birds, insects, or fungi in their local churchyard. Their data will then be collated on the National Biodiversity Network. The week is open to anyone with a love of nature, local families, friends and individuals or local wildlife groups to take part by going to the churchyard to spot and record living nature. They may also like to combine this with a picnic or a little time spent in quiet contemplation. Starter guides and record sheets are available, please contact Heather 07944083897 or Meriel 01233 731211 for further information.
There will be a celebration of God's creation at an All Age Service on Sunday 13th June.
