Daily Scripture:"But our citizenship is in heaven. (Philippians 3.20)Daily Reflection: Citizenship is about identity, about belonging to a community. Citizenship brings with it rights and privileges, but also duties and responsibilities. To be a good citizen is to uphold the laws and values of society and to work for the good of the community. To be a citizen of heaven does not mean we should be ‘so heavenly minded that we are no earthly good’. Quite the contrary. As Christians we are called to uphold the values of Christ’s Kingdom in our daily lives, whoever and wherever we may be. As we pray ‘Your kingdom come on earth’ we ponder what our part should be in bringing this about. Heaven is not a distant prospect, but ‘Work In Progress’, here and now, and we are part of it.
