Daily Scripture:
8 Let my mouth be full of your praise and your glory all the day long.
14 As for me I will hope continually and will praise you more and more.
(Psalm 71:8, 14)
Daily Reflection:
Could we, like the psalmist, speak these words with sincerity? To begin to do so we first of all need to acknowledge God’s existence. Having acknowledged Him, we need to realise all that He has done for us. Having realised all He has done, we need to remember him in our daily lives – every day not just on Sundays! When we remember Him, then we remember to praise Him. But this “hope” that the psalmist speaks of is not “finger crossed hope”; it is a surety that God is there; that He is in control. Hope in Him helps us keep going. It helps us keep on serving Him; keep on praising Him.
May my mouth be full of praise for God this day.
