Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowler; the snare is broken and we are delivered.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who has made heaven and earth. (Psalm 124:7)

Daily Reflection

It is all too easy to feel overwhelmed by problems in life; to feel trapped by them, with no apparent way out. With God there is always a way out; God created everything; there is nothing beyond his ability to solve. We may see something as hopeless; but God can work things that we deem impossible. The Psalmist speaks of a bird trapped in a snare – death is certain; but the snare is broken and the bird freed. Impossible for the bird to do, but there is escape for the bird. For us, God can provide a way out of the things that trap us; all we have to do is believe in him; trust him; and look to him…..”Our help is in the name of the Lord.”
