1 O Lord, you have searched me and known me. 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away. 3 You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. (Psalm 139:1-3)

Daily Reflection

We often don’t let people get to know us completely because we are afraid they may discover something about us that they won’t like. Here is the psalmist saying - of God – that He knows us completely…..absolutely everything about us. This could be quite worrying for each of us, when we think of some of the things of which we might be ashamed and don’t want others to know! Yet although God knows everything about us, the great news is that He still accepts and loves us; He does so: completely, absolutely, and unconditionally. He is with us in every situation, in everything we go through; He is there: protecting, guiding, and loving. Thank God that He is there; that he cares.
