Daily Scripture:
When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had met were locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you.’ (John 20. 19)
Daily Reflection:
Deep peace of the running waves to you
Deep peace of the flowing air to you
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you
Deep peace of the shining stars to you
Deep peace of the Son of peace to you
This is one of my favourite Celtic Blessings and one that brings me comfort and peace - especially in times of emotional turmoil. During our Sunday Services - whether that is in church or on-line - we offer one another a Sign of Peace - what a wonderful gift it is to receive that peace which is beyond all understanding - the Peace of Christ himself - and once you have received that gift your life will never be the same again - you will be comforted. Accepting that peace is the first step in a truly wonderful relationship with the Prince of Peace Himself.
