Daily Scripture

Therefore let all who are faithful
offer prayer to you;
at a time of distress, the rush of mighty waters
shall not reach them.
You are a hiding-place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with glad cries of deliverance.   (Psalm 32:6-7)

Daily Reflection:

Many will try and tell you, that your faith is just a comfort blanket, an illusion to keep you from facing reality. But those of us who have experienced the power of prayer, and who have been borne on the hands of many praying friends, we know for certain that God lifts us up and keeps us safe in the time of our distress. He does indeed make sure that the rushing waters of life do not sweep us away, he offers us a hiding-place where we can rest and bide a while and he preserves us from trouble. This doesn’t always mean that everything bad goes away, like when you wake from a nightmare, but our hearts and minds are kept safe in the sure knowledge that he is in charge.
