Daily Scripture:
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3&4)
Daily Reflection
Here, the apostle John tries to describe how heaven will be; but because he is using human words and thoughts it falls far short of how incredibly wonderful it will be. Heaven will far surpass whatever we can think or imagine! It is a place where God himself will be; and he’ll wipe away every tear. No matter what you are going through right now – it is not the last word, God’s written the last chapter of your life; and it’s a good one, a very good one!
But for now hold onto the thought that, “The home of God is among mortals”; He’s with you now. With those thoughts in mind, come to church on Sunday and praise God; we’ll be open! In the words of the psalmist, “I will come into your house; I will bow down towards your holy temple in awe of you.” (5:7)
