Kingsnorth + Shadoxhurst: Kingsnorth

Welcome to our vibrant Christian community! We are a diverse group of people of all ages and backgrounds, brought together by our shared love of Jesus and our commitment to serving the community. As part of the Ashford Town Parish, our aim is to be a family of churches centred on Jesus, and dedicated to sharing God's love, igniting hope, and creating meaningful relationships with our local community and beyond. We believe in the power of prayer and in helping children and young people flourish through the knowledge of God's love.

We offer three Sunday morning services to suit different tastes and preferences. For those who appreciate the timeless beauty of traditional worship, we have an 8am BCP service at St Peter & St Paul in Shadoxhurst every 1st and 3rd Sunday. Every Sunday, we have a 9:15am traditional Holy Communion service and a 10:45am Contemporary Worship Service at St Michael & All Angels Kingsnorth. Whatever service you choose to attend, we hope you will find it accessible and intergenerational, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

As a church, we believe that faith is not just something we practice on Sundays, but a way of life that is lived out every day. That's why we are committed to serving the community and creating opportunities for people to connect with one another and with God. We hope that you will find a place here to belong, to grow, and to serve alongside us.

Along with our Team Vicar, Revd Adam Childs, we would be delighted to welcome you to our community. Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions or would like to know more about what we do.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Ashford Town is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Canterbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [https://www.ashfordtownparish.co.uk/safeguarding] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [https://www.canterburydiocese.org/safeguarding#Contact%20Us]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
