The South Room Community Hub is open from 10 am to 12 noon on Tuesdays and Fridays. We aim to offer help and hope to all who visit. We help with job searches, benefit and housing applications, and we signpost support to other specialist charities that help with issues such as homelessness, debt, health, furniture, clothes, etc. We offer free use of wifi, computers and printers for the above. We also offer free tea, coffee and biscuits to those who drop in to chat. Contact us via email: [email protected] or just come along. Also, check our website for dates that we may not be able to open.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Herne Bay: Christ Church is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Canterbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO (Annette Saunders - [email protected]) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (Paul Brightwell [email protected]). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
