St Paul's Church, Sandgate, Part of the Trinity Benefice
Welcome to the Trinity Benefice.
Each parish offers a variety of services and Christian activities and we seek, as a benefice, to provide a welcome and offer opportunities for all from any church tradition or none. As you will see, services in the benefice range from Sung Eucharist to non-liturgical, from holding hymnbooks to using Power Point, from traditional to less formal. Whatever labels might be used our focus is the same: to grow in our relationship with God, to show Jesus to the world, and our unity in Christ both within and beyond the Benefice.
We welcome enquiries about baptisms, weddings and other special services and have a huge selection of services, events and groups that might be of interest to you. Our aim is to provide you with useful information about our Benefice, its staff, facilities, groups and friends. More information is on our Trinity Benefice website. Feel free to browse this site and if you have any comments or questions, or simply need more information then please contact us.
The parochial church councils (PCCs) of Holy Trinity Folkestone, St George’s Folkestone and St Paul’s Sandgate have adopted the safeguarding policies and procedures of the Diocese of Canterbury. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Canterbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Most churches are “Excepted Charities” and are therefore not registered with the Charity Commission. You can download a PDF that includes your church name, address and church code. This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
