You can expect a friendly welcome and a Church of England service of the word. This includes hynns, songs, prayers, bible readings and a sermon. On the first Sunday of Advent, we'll also be lighting the first candle on our Advent wreath. This service does not include holy communion. Refreshments are served in the hall after the service.

We will pray together for God’s kingdom to come and God’s will to be done in Thanington as in Heaven.
We all have other responsibilities too. Therefore, we will honour the time commitment to pray together for 1 hour only, recognising that prayer will be ongoing in our personal lives and in our congregations.

Messy Church starts with a choice of activities. Then we gather together to sing, learn from the Bible, and pray. We finish by eating tea together. This time we'll be decorating oranges to make Christingles to help us remember Jesus as the Light of the World. Planned with families in mind and finishing with something to eat and drink. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

In December, it's all change for CAMEO lunch club. Intead of lunch at the church, come and enjoy a festive tea and carols in the lounge at Warren Lodge, 177 Ashford Road. Cost is £5 per person. Booking is essential. Get in touch for more details or to book a place.
