In this week's video, Simon starts by asking us to pray for tonight's church council meeting. He then looks forward to this Friday when we remember the Presentation of Christ in the Temple (Candlemas) as recorded in Luke 2:22-40; and of the blessings and prophecies given by Simeon and Anna. 

He mentions how the faithfulness of older people among us, like Anna and Simeon, reminds us to keep the faith. Simon then encourages us to grow strong in our faith and become confident of Christ in us, as Jesus grew in favour with God and man as he grew up. 

Simon ends the video with a call to be open to new experiences and adventures as Simeon and Anna did, and finally a blessing and a prayer.
