About Us
We are part of the Woodbridge Group of Churches (Brinkworth, Dauntsey, Garsdon, Great Somerford, Lea, Little Somerford). Services are held locally on the first three Sundays of the month. On 4th Sundays we join in one of the churches for a Group Service of Holy Communion at 10.30am. On 5th Sundays we have a 9am spoken service of Holy Communion in one of the churches (BCP or Common Worship according to local tradition) and a 10.30am Group Service in another of the churches. Please see the Service Schedule on our website for locations of the group services, as these rotate on a seasonally affected pattern!
St Giles Church, Lea, dates from the 14th century, though it was largely rebuilt in 1880. It has recently undergone significant internal re-ordering so that the building is now a warm welcoming flexible space, suitable for many activities.
We are a friendly, lively fellowship, who seek to follow Jesus Christ through our worship, witness and care for one another. We believe that the Bible is God’s word and is as relevant today as when it was written.
We value the contributions of all ages in our life together in Christ and in our worship. There are various Children’s and Youth groups, including a monthly Saturday morning club and a monthly Sunday event during the main church service, both for primary school children, as well as a weekly drop in club for secondary school students.
There are several Fellowship Groups meeting in homes in the village.
