We are a lively, welcoming Anglican Church which meets in two buildings - our Sunday 9.15am congregation meet at The Church Centre in Bromley Heath, and the Sunday 10.30am and Thursday Holy Communion congregations meet at the Parish Church.
Our motto is "Learning to Live the Life," reminding us to live like Jesus lived and to follow him in his strength. We love to worship, learn and serve together, and we encourage one another to live out faith in our daily lives. We have good links with our local community and local schools. We look to serve others including through the debt relief charity Christians Against Poverty. We are a community of diverse ages and backgrounds and we want to celebrate each other's gifts so there are many opportunities to get involved.

The parish of Downend is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Bristol’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services
