About Us

St Nicholas’ Church is a Chapel-of-Ease in the Parish of St Andrew, Chippenham, serving the small village of Tytherton Lucas.

We value the traditions of the Book of Common Prayer and Common Worship, using a mixture of traditional and contemporary language services. Services are sometimes sung accompanied by the organ.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays with special services for Christmas and Easter. See our website for details.

St Nicholas’ Church is thought to have been built in the 13th century. By 1802, the church was restored through the generosity of Thomas Crook. The chapel was also refurbished in the early 1900’s – including chancel seats, stained glass window, pulpit and oak reredos. A chamber organ was installed into the chapel in 1987.
