On Good Friday this year, we are planning a drop in style gathering that will make space for a simple expression of worship, prayer and reflection. There will be three duplicate sessions starting at 09.30, 10.00 and 10.30 lasting around 20-25 mins each. There will be activities for children and refreshments served in other parts of the building throughout the sessions. The hope is that for families with children, there will be the opportunity for all parents to be in a session.

Central Church (St Philip & St Jacob)

Central is a truly unique church in the city of Bristol. Our members gather from across the city and beyond at St Philip and St Jacob church, which is one of the oldest ecclesiastical meeting places in the city. It has been set apart for worship, prayer and teaching for 850 years. We have a passion to live in the fullness of life that is discovered in true discipleship to Jesus and to be transformed more into the image of God through the active work of the Holy Spirit within us. All are welcome to join us.

Safeguarding

At Central we are committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Bristol’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
