St Augustines Whitchurch

St Augustines is the parish church of Whitchurch in South Bristol. As the parish church we belong to everyone who lives in Whitchurch.

Whether it's your first time here or your thousandth we are genuinely glad you came.

We are committed to putting our faith into practise and showing Gods love to Whitchurch.

We believe that God loves everyone, whoever you are and wherever you come from. We do not tolerate ableism, ageism, homophobia, racism, transphobia, sexism or any other form of prejudice. We are a progressive church and are members of Inclusive Church and a partner church of Christians at Bristol Pride. Everyone is welcome here.

So whether it's for a Sunday service or a baptism, a meal or a community event, whether you believe all or some or none of what we believe know that you will always be welcomed, and we will always be glad you came.

Reverend Sam Sheppard. Vicar of Whitchurch.

Safeguarding

The parish of St. Augustine, Whitchurch is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Bristol’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
