St Chad's Parish Church

St Chad's Parish Church, Poulton-le-Fylde

Welcome to the Parish Church of St Chad. We are delighted to open this beautiful church for our many visitors and to see it used by the people of this town whose needs it has sought to serve for over 900 years. The Church stands at the heart of the town and the link between the two has been important throughout the centuries. Worship and prayer are offered on a daily basis and St Chad’s continues to provide a sacred space in which to mark community milestones and personal landmarks.

Are you looking for a friendly and welcoming Church within which to explore the love that God has for you? You may have been a Christian for some time or just wanting to find out what its all about, in which case come and join us. We are a group of ordinary people who believe that Church is a great place to make friends, have fun, experience God together and see lives radically transformed.

We do hope that you will find the information you require on our website but the best way to find out about us is to come along. We look forward to meeting you.

Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Lynne Brackpool and can be contacted on 01253 892440.

Promoting a Safer Church
St Chad's Parish Church has adopted the House of Bishops ‘Promoting a Safer Church’ policy and the Parish Safeguarding Handbook, incorporating the House of Bishop’s Safeguarding Policy and Practice Guidance.

A copy of this, and all the information below can be found here:
cofe-policy-statement.pdf (churchofengland.org)

We also display the Promoting a Safer Church poster prominently within our church. This is on the noticeboard at the back of the Church along with relevant phone numbers and contact details.
All those working with children and adults at risk have undergone safer recruitment and received safeguarding training.

Reporting a concern
If you believe that someone is at risk of immediate harm please call emergency services on 999

Any safeguarding concerns in a parish should be brought to the attention of our Parish Safeguarding Officer(PSO) Lynne Brackpool (01253 892440) in the first instance.
The PSO can seek further advice from the Diocesan Safeguarding Team as necessary.

Finding support
Safe Spaces is a free and independent support service, providing a confidential, personal and safe space for anyone who has been abused by someone in the Church or as a result of their relationship with the Church of England, the Catholic Church in England and Wales or the Church in Wales.
If you have been affected, however long ago, Safe Spaces can provide you with support.
