Harvest Messy Church: Thanks to everyone who helped deliver another super event last Saturday morning. Our theme was “With God all things are possible” based on the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand. It was well attended by many of the Little Gang families and friends. Hats off to Janet and her team of helpers and puppets!

Raise the Roof Concert: What a night we had! The concert on Saturday night in Church was a great success. Through the ticket sales, the raffle and donations at the interval we raised a magnificent £1000. Sincere thanks go to Shirley Eracleous, The Dream Team Singers and Harmony & Health for performing such a wonderful repertoire. Also, to everyone who supported us on the evening and before-hand with ticket sales and raffle prizes. And finally, to Joanne, David and their helpers who hosted the evening on our behalf. Well done everyone!

Defibrillator Training: Please come on Monday this week at 6 pm to the Jubilee Room. We have arranged for some basic training and it would be good if as many of us a possible could attend. If you need a lift, please just shout!

Christian Bookshop: is now based in Christ Church Thornton on Meadows Avenue. It is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. There’s also a coffee shop. Why not give it a visit?

Roof Repairs: Work is due to start again on the roof this coming week! We have also taken steps to repair and treat the wooden cladding on the South end of the church. These repairs are only made possible due to the ongoing generosity of so many of you. We are doing our best to preserve our magnificent building for future generations and we are forever grateful for your help.

Giving God, we receive so much from you, and therefore have much to give. Help us to

share in the blessings of giving as well as the happiness of receiving,

that your love may be more widely shared through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

100 Club – Winners last week were Amelia Quirk, Shirley Kershaw, and Nancy Burr

Please remember in your prayers – Rev Jane Everitt, Tony Hardman, Rev Martin Keighley, Gillian & Elizabeth, Graham Armstrong, Cliff Turner, Chris Kelsall and Cath.
