The Boathouse Youth (BHY): - BHY aims to provide a variety of educational and recreational activities that will build confidence, restore self-esteem and, above all, bring happiness to the lives of its young members. Its mission is to break the cycle of deprivation and empower today's children to become contributing members of society. The most significant barrier facing some of the children in Fleetwood is the financial position of their parents. This is why BHY provide all of its services completely free of any monetary charge.

As a church we have worked hard and prayed hard for the last two and half years to bring BHY to Fleetwood. So now, the revised planning application to build a new arm of this Youth Centre in the grounds of St Nicholas is with Wyre Council. There is an opportunity for each one of us to register our support for the project. I would encourage you to take a few minutes to send a letter of support to the planning department of Wyre Council. Alternatively complete an online ’comment’ of support. You can do this by typing “Wyre Council planning application search” into Google, click on Planning applications, then click on “search and view planning applications.” Enter 21/00910/FUL and hit search. Now click on “Make a comment”. These are the two best ways of supporting the application but if all else fails you can sign the petition which is now at the back of church.

Heavenly Father, we embrace Your call for us to make disciples, to be witnesses, to grow leaders

and inspire children and young people. Give us eyes to see Your vision, ears to hear the prompting

of Your Spirit and courage to follow in the footsteps of your Son, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

Please remember in your prayers – Fr Ron, Rev Jane Everitt, Heather, Jenny, Jillian Muir, Tony Hardman Eddie Gillon, Rev Martin Keighley, & Gillian King. And also, the families of, Laura Head and Carl Pinnock whose funerals are due to take place.
