Sincere thanksTo Fr Alan Leeson and Canon Dick Cartmell who covered the services last week at St Nicholas.

Congratulations - To Karen Hay who was commissioned as a Licensed Lay Minister yesterday at Blackburn Cathedral. Karen has been developing her gifts in mission and evangelism and is looking forward to working on some new projects in the coming months.

St Nic’s Little GangOn Friday we held our first session of Little Gang in the Broadway Rooms. Banjo Bob and Lesley looked after our guests spectacularly with toys, choruses and a bible story. At snack time we served fresh fruit, toast and drinks. This is being offered to pre-schoolers with their adult carer(s) and is completely free of charge. It is something we can invite our baptisms families to, as well as the other youngsters in the community.

Lord God, may we be a refuge for those who come to Little Gang. Jesus came into the world as a child, and he welcomed children as a sign of the Kingdom of God. May we see in these children and in their adult carers the face of Jesus, God's child, and gather them into our arms with love and compassion. May we be as children in our trust in your love for all your children. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

‘Community Coffee Morning’ – We’re hoping to start this in October on a Thursday each week from 10.00 am. Is this a ministry that you (and a friend), could help with once a month or once every six weeks? If we had six or eight willing helpers then it would share the load! Please see the Vicar this week to offer your help.

Please add to your prayers; - Nigel, Helen, Jane, Margaret, Elliott, Janet, Nick, Heather and Maureen, whose needs at this time are known to God.
