Christian Aid Week 10th -16th May – Due to the pandemic, door to door collecting is not being encouraged again this year, which will have a detrimental impact on the work this charity can do. Funds collected this year were to be devoted to helping communities which are being devastated by the effects of climate change. Extreme weather means people are struggling to survive without a reliable source of water. Your gift could help a community build an earth dam, so when the rains do come, they will have the water they need to live. Every envelope: Every gift can change lives. THY KINGDOM COME – Last week we asked if you would join with us in dedicating the days between Ascension and Pentecost to pray ‘Come Holy Spirit.’ The promised prayer journal, with an excellent introduction from Archbishop Stephen, is available today. This booklet will help you pray through the 11 days (13th - 23rd May). Please pick a copy up if you are attending church, otherwise we’ll do our best to get one to you before Thursday. There will be a service of Holy Communion to mark the Ascension of our Lord at 12 noon on Thursday.
