From the Vicar: A sincere thanks again to everyone who was involved in any way in delivering what was a packed Lent, Holy week and Easter at St Nic’s. Much work, forward planning and preparation go into all that we do and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Thank you for using your gifts and energy to further our ministry from this place.
Lord of all,
you have graced us with many different skills and talents.
Using these many gifts, may we work together each in our own special way
respecting everyone's contribution
to build up Christ's body grounded in faith, hope and love. Amen.
Dates for your Diary: Please sign up at the back of church if you are hoping to attend Lawrence & Olga’s Diamond Wedding celebrations in the Broadway Rooms straight after church on Sunday 28th April. Everyone is welcome. Also ‘save the date’ the evening of Friday 21st June, when we are hosting a Sea Shanty Event with a fish & chip supper. It something different and an opportunity to invite your friends and family to join us. More details to follow.
Annual Parish Church Meeting: Will take place on Tuesday 14th May 2024 in church at 7 pm. This is an opportunity to come together as the church family to celebrate the past year and to plan for the future. Amendments to the electoral roll can be made between now and then. If you live in the parish, and/or you have habitually attended worship at St Nic’s during the preceding six months, you are eligible to register. Please see Sandra who will sort this out for you. Being on the roll enables you to take part in any voting which may take place at the meeting. There are some places available on the Parochial Church Council this year and if you are keen to be part of the leadership team of St Nic’s and would like to know more about the role of a PCC member then please see the Vicar.
Please remember in your prayers: Joe Robinson, Katie, Tony Ryan, Louise Clark, Rev Martin Keighley, Mark Price, Peter Holden, Alan Morris, Dean, Rev Jane Everett, Paul Sumner, Chloe, Norman Higgins and Chris Shuttleworth. Please also remember the families and friends of, Margaret Barlow, Craig Abson, Ken Hargreaves and Bert Fryer whose funerals are due to take place.
