*********************************

The plan for today was that the Vicar would be on annual leave and that Phil would assist the Rev’d Fiona Haines at our Communion Services. Regrettably, Phil has now succumbed to Covid. So, Rev’d Fiona will preside at the 8.30 and 10.45 services and the Vicar will cover Zoom and Family & Co. Fiona is the Chaplain at Kirkham Open Prison and we are sincerely grateful that she is able to help us out. All should be back to normal next week!

Boathouse Youth – We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to finalize the lease between ourselves and the Trust responsible for building the centre. Everything has now been agreed and building could be starting within the next couple of weeks. There will to be noise, dirt and disruption. Please be prepared to be inconvenienced. The disruption will be far outweighed by the value it will ultimately add to the lives of the young people in our community.

Let us hold in our prayers those who will be working on site, praying for their safety at all times. Let us give thanks for the amazing generosity of the funding which will cover all our costs too. Let us pray for the right people to be put in place to run the project. And let us also pray for the children and young people who will access this facility, that it would be a blessing in their lives and in the lives of their families.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!

By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope

through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1.3

Please also remember in your prayers: Rev Jane Everitt, Rev Martin Keighley, Elizabeth King, Chris Kelsall, Michaela Jones, Mark Price, Lee Schofield, Grantham Fidler, Tony Hardman, John Hawley & Peter Hollier. And the families of Susan Smith, Reg Short, Marjorie Kenwright, Jean Ward and Sarah Entwistle whose funerals are due to take place.
