If you have an hour to spare on a Friday afternoon from 12 July 2024, for six weeks, from 13:30 onwards -

We are hoping to tidy the graveyard before the 80th Anniversary the Air disaster, on Friday 23 August 2024. If you can help, please come along, any time you can spare, this does not require a weekly commitment. Bring your gardening gloves, gardening tools, etc.

All are welcome - your help is much appreciated.

Please note: individual sessions may be subject to cancellation or rescheduling at short notice if a burial is arranged at the same time.

A service to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Freckleton air disaster will take place beside the children’s grave and in church at Holy Trinity Church, Lytham Road, Freckleton, starting from 10:30, on 23 August. The Rt Rev. Philip North, Bishop of Blackburn, will lead the service.
Refreshments will be served nearby after the service, and the book of remembrance will be on display.
