Thanks to all our kind volunteers who came here to tidy up our churchyard today, in preparation for the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Freckleton air disaster. We'll be here again for the next five Fridays (subject to change for burials, etc.).
At Worship4U this morning, we looked at the Gospel and thought about how Jesus' home town had little faith in him, and he could hardly do any powerful deeds.Other towns had faith, and he did lots of miraculous things. We filled two identical bottles with water, one with the lid off, to represent the places of faith, and one with the lid still on (through the drinking spout), to represent Nazareth.Of course, one was filled, and the other only had a trickle in it.We need to be like the bottle with the open lid to allow God to pour his love and hope and healing into us.
Thank you to the volunteers who have mown some of the church yard this week. And thank you to whoever has put these lovely pots at the front of the church. My guess is the brilliant Freckleton and Warton Eco Group.
