Freckleton air disaster 79th anniversary

On 23 August, the four clergy of the village churches joined together to lead an act of remembrance for the 79th anniversary of the Freckleton Air Disaster. Union flags and Stars and Stripes flags with names of loved ones who died were placed into crosses, filled with lavender for devotion and rosemary for remembrance. A minute's silence was held after the name of each loved one who had died was read aloud and flowers were laid. Thank you to all who came to remember, and those who couldn't be with us physically but were with us in both prayer and spirit.
