A busy morning in church today. We had our end of year school Eucharist with Freckleton C of E Primary School. Some of our recently confirmed Year 6 children had their first Holy Communion. Year 6 were given gifts from church and blessed.And Year 4 stayed behind to look at the memorial book for the air disaster, which they've been learning about. Thank you to lots of lovely people from both the church congregation and the village who have been helping in the churchyard recently. Today, I met a lovely gentleman who had worked tirelessly to dig the overgrown grass from the old gravestones. They look brilliant, thank you so much! 😊
Thanks to all our kind volunteers who came here to tidy up our churchyard today, in preparation for the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Freckleton air disaster. We'll be here again for the next five Fridays (subject to change for burials, etc.).
