Eco Church is a multi-denominational movement aimed at helping care for God's creation by promoting changes likely to lessen our environmental impacts.
We aim to encourage wildlife and habitat diversity in our grounds, to reduce energy use and waste. To minimize the use of harmful chemicals and to promote these activities within the communities that we serve.
Hest Bank united reformed church and the Anglican churches of St Wilfrid’s Halton, St Luke’s Slyne With Hest and St Saviour’s Aughton are working together with other parishes in the region to meet these goals, to conserve, to nourish and to protect our precious, God-given environment.
Reduce, Reuse Recycle:
The less packaging we use, the less transportation needed and the less food we waste will all help us minimise our environmental impacts. These pages give some suggestions for local shops and home-delivery services who try to minimise their environmental impact. Sometimes it is a trade-off. Don’t let perfection be the enemy of good.
