St George’s, Preston (SGP) is a local Anglican church made up of imperfect people seeking to follow Jesus Christ. We’re looking to impact this city of ours by loving God and loving our neighbour. We gather in order to be blessed so that we may go out and be a blessing to others. Why not come and join us!
At St George’s we offer dignified Anglo-Catholic worship, but this doesn’t mean we’re stuffy and exclusive. Far from it. We hope anyone who visits our church will feel a sense of welcome and peace. We want you to feel at home so please come as you are.
St George's, Preston is committed to the safeguarding, care and nurture of the children within our church community and to encouraging an environment where all people and especially those who may be vulnerable are able to worship and pursue their faith journey with encouragement and in safety.
We are also committed to the implementation of the Church of England and the Diocese of Blackburn’s Safeguarding Policies and Procedures, and the relevant statutory legislation and guidance for the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
