An opportunity to appreciate our mothers and give thanks for those who have cared for and mothered us throughout our lives, especially our Mother Church. There will be daffodil posies to give to our mothers and also a performance by our school children and 'Pop Up Choir'.

Come and join our church family outdoors in our lovely countryside setting. This will be a really enjoyable activity for all ages and we do hope you will be able to join us. We meet in church first before we go outside and we suggest it would be best to wear comfortable walking shoes and possibly a raincoat. Hopefully, we won’t need a raincoat.

Countryside walk to church with banners and all our organisations accompanied by Balderstone Brass Band. Following prayers and a hymn there will be races for the children on the school field with refreshments. A lovely family fun afternoon.

Our United Benefice Confirmation Service with Right Reverend Dr Joe Kennedy, Bishop of Burnley, will take place on Sunday 1st June 2025 at 11:00am at St Leonard the Less Church, Samlesbury. Please remember the candidates and their families in your prayers as they prepare for this important step of their Christian journey, and also pray for the leaders who will be teaching and supporting them as they prepare to take these next steps.

Community Event with games for the children, stalls and barbeque. There will be live music from the Community Ukulele Group.
A lovely opportunity to chat and have fun for adults and children in the open air.
Held outside on the school playground/field (weather permitting).

A social event where we travel around to eat a starter and main course with different hosts and guests around the community before meeting together at Mellor Brook Community Centre for dessert and coffee.

This year we are delighted to have Coppull and Standish brass band to entertain us again with Christmas themed music and Carols for all the family to enjoy. The church will be lit with candles creating a lovely Christmas atmosphere and the band will be joined by our school children and the 'pop up' choir in some joint performances. A very special family event followed by mince pies and mulled wine in school. Tickets : Adults £6 Children Free

Our Christmas Fair is held in school and has stalls (cakes, crafts, books, plants/wreathes) raffles, games, tombola, refreshments and, of course, a visit from Father Christmas himself. We would love you to come and join us. Small charge of £1 for adults and 50p children.
