‘The Saturday Café’

Come and enjoy tasty home-cooked food at the Refectory Café on a Saturday. Café open from noon -2pm . Ideal venue if out walking or after shopping. Invite a friend - a lovely place to enjoy a catch up with a friend. For light lunches, cakes and drinks. Come and visit us – all welcome. Why not sit outside in our beautiful Community Garden (dogs welcome). Take always available.

Join us for our Service of Holy Communion.

Our regular Sunday Holy Communion service is at 11.00am. Refreshments are served in The Refectory following the service.
Families and young children are welcomed.

Come to The Refectory (opposite the Fence Gate Lodge) for 'Coffee and Conversation’ with Reverend Lesley. Join us for a topical chat, looking at the day’s news and finding Jesus in the midst. Danish pastries, crumpets, toasted teacakes available. All welcome.

Hear the stories behind the hymns and music, sing a few too! Followed by a two course lunch. £5 at The Refectory. A wonderful time of fellowship with Gil Gilbert. All welcome.

Next Songs of Praise is Tuesday 27th May 2025 12noon- 2pm.

It is a monthly service and will be on the fourth Sunday of the month.

It is a service for everyone – hence its name!
It is a service of Holy Communion, but in a less formal way. We pray this will develop to be a popular and accessible service for all.

Pendleside MU meet at The Refectory on the 2nd Tuesday of every month

We all like to reminisce….we all can reminisce no matter what age we are, or what kind of background we have….and reminiscing is good for our wellbeing.

Join Reverend Lesley at The Refectory on the third Tuesday of every month at 1.30pm – 3pm

PLEASE NOTE: there will be no meeting on 15th April. Next meeting will be 20th May, 1.30pm – 3pm.

Our theme will be flowers and gardens – your own, wild flowers on walks and days out, flower arrangements, flowers in church, your favourite flowers. Please bring a long stemmed flower or hedgerow wild flower, greenery, or even a weed to our meeting.

Delicious cake and china tea cups as always!

Confirmations this year will be celebrated at St Anne’s, Fence with Bishop Joe on Wednesday 21st May 2025 at 7.30pm.

All completed application forms from adults and young people are to be submitted to Reverend Lesley by Sunday 2nd March.

These can be handed in personally at the services in our churches that day, or posted to her at:

Preparations for young people will begin online in March 2025. Reverend Lesley will contact adult candidates to arrange mutually convenient dates and times for preparation.

Please note that adults can be both baptised and confirmed in this service.
