‘The Saturday Café’

Come and enjoy tasty home-cooked food at the Refectory Café on a Saturday. Café open from noon -2pm . Ideal venue if out walking or after shopping. Invite a friend - a lovely place to enjoy a catch up with a friend. For light lunches, cakes and drinks. Come and visit us – all welcome. Why not sit outside in our beautiful Community Garden (dogs welcome). Take always available.

Our regular Sunday Holy Communion service is at 11.00am. Refreshments are served in The Refectory following the service.
Families and young children are welcomed.

It is that time of year when we will hold Memorial Services. During the service, names of loved ones are read out as an act of commemoration and there is the opportunity to light a candle in their memory.

St Anne’s, Fence – 11am, followed by lunch

Lists are available at the back of church for you to write the name/s of your loved one/s to be remembered. Names must be submitted by this Sunday 26th October.

Come to The Refectory (opposite the Fence Gate Lodge) for 'Coffee and Conversation’ with Reverend Lesley. Join us for a topical chat, looking at the day’s news and finding Jesus in the midst. Danish pastries, crumpets, toasted teacakes available. All welcome.

Pop in for 5 minutes or stay longer. Listen, join in…whatever is ‘your way’

Everyone is welcome….from both churches. The prayers may be led on a theme. We pray for growth in our churches and the communities we serve and there is time for your own prayers, extempory or in the quietness of your heart.

On Sunday 9th November in our parishes we mark and give thanks for all who have died or been maimed in service for our country. Please wear your poppy with pride at our services.

Canon Law requires a service of Holy Communion to be held in the Benefice, which will be at St Anne’s at 10.30am

Remembrance Sunday Services are:
• 10.30am at St John’s and laying of the wreaths at Higham Village memorial in front of the Church
• 12noon at the memorial in Fence Village, laying of the wreaths with representatives from uniformed services
• 10.30am at St Anne’s – Remembrance Day service, laying of wreaths and Holy Communion.

Pendleside MU meet at The Refectory on the 2nd Tuesday of every month
