Come to The Refectory (opposite the Fence Gate Lodge) for 'Coffee and Conversation’ with Reverend Lesley. Join us for a topical chat, looking at the day’s news and finding Jesus in the midst. Danish pastries, crumpets, toasted teacakes available. All welcome.

As we think of caring for God’s creation, that means caring for ourselves. Some of you have expressed a desire to lose weight yet fail because you are not held accountable.

Lent is a great opportunity to lose a few pounds (could be up to half a stone).

Join me at 9.45am-10.15am in The Refectory every Wednesday (before our Lent course) and take to the scales! I will weigh you (and me) in private in my office and record it on your own ‘Lent Loser’ card.
I am not offering diets, just accountability. If you want dietary advice I recommend the NHS app

Bishop Philip's new ‘Knowing Jesus’ course has five sessions. The series will help us to know about Jesus as we seek to understand more about who he is, what he has come to do and how he sets us free. It will also help us to know Jesus as we explore what to means to be in a deeper relationship with him and to offer our whole lives to him. The sessions are:

• The Ascended Jesus
• The Sending Jesus
• The Suffering Jesus
• The Servant Jesus
• The Triumphant Jesus

Wednesdays 18th February(Ash Wednesday), 25th February, no session 4th March, 11th March, 18th March, 25th March (5 weeks)

It is a monthly service and will be on the fourth Sunday of the month.

It is a service for everyone – hence its name!
It is a service of Holy Communion, but in a less formal way. We pray this will develop to be a popular and accessible service for all.

Come for a short service of peace and calm. The church will be warm, candles lit…. enjoy some quiet time to yourself…time to reflect on Easter and what it means to you. There will be the opportunity to receive the Laying on of Hands and Anointing

Pendleside MU meet at The Refectory on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
