The new Bishop of Burnley Rev Dr Joe Kennedy will begin his ministry in September. Please pray for his family as they make the move and transition to a new ministry in Lancashire.

Legally the council is responsible for the financial affairs of the church parish and the maintenance of its assets, such as churches and church halls. It also assists the clergy in the management of church affairs in the parish, and promoting the mission of the church. PCCs (Parochial Church Councils) are crucial bodies leadership of Anglican churches. They can make a significant impact for good on church life. The Parochial Church Council (PCC) has vacancies at St John's church. This is an exciting opportunity to serve God in our church. The PCC meets four times a year, and its members discuss the life and mission of our church, making decisions that support us to do what we feel God asks of us.
