We arrived in September 2020 and have loved being part of church and village life here in New Longton. You'll often see me, my wife Julie, or a number of our five daughters around and about in the village - at the school, at the park, in the coffee shop, at the sports and social club and so on. But you're also welcome to call me or even turn up unannounced at the vicarage (just to the left hand side of the church) if you have any kind of pastoral need or even just want a cup of tea and a chat.
Being vicar of New Longton is a joy and privilege - but it is only 60% of my job! I'm also a Tutor in Theology at Emmanuel Theological College which trains priests, deacons and lay readers for Church of England ministry. I'm also honoured to serve as an elected clergy member of General Synod, which meets twice a year. Outside of church and college life, I love to play cricket (badly) and to take part - when I can - in pub quizzes. I look forward to meeting you soon.
