Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable People
The parish of Lostock Hall St James is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and we have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO), Peter Mounsey. If you wish to speak to him for advice and guidance please speak to him after a Sunday service (in confidence if appropriate), phone 01772 752522 or email [email protected] The Diocese of Blackburn's safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contact details for the Diocesan Safeguarding Team (DST) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DST. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
You can find a link to the Blackburn Diocesan Safeguarding Team at the bottom of the webpage. This contains plenty of useful information as well as a link you can use to notify the DST of any concerns.
