St Mary the Virgin, Eccleston

God’s people at St Mary’s are a family. A welcoming, warm, friendly, and supportive family.

We rejoice in our being a family made up of all ages, and enjoy a whole host of gatherings and events throughout the year. Some events will be age-specific, such as the Children’s Activity Days; but other events draw people of all ages together: the monthly Pop-ins, Harvest Open Days, Beetle Drives and Christmas Sing-a-long; to name but a few.

A word which says much about St Mary’s is: LIFE! St Mary’s is a lively place, and it is part of a wider, lively, community.

The parish is fortunate in having its own Church Voluntary Aided Primary School which is just over a mile from church, a distance which means children and staff can enjoy a walk to the church for services as well as the minister taking regular acts of worship at the school.

The worshipping congregation at St Mary’s is committed to serving God in this place and, in part, this happens through the events we hold and a genuine desire to invite others in to the blessings we, ourselves, are receiving.
